Manager - Labour and Employment Law

As the Labor and Employment Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of labor and employment law. Your role will involve providing expert legal counsel and ensuring regulatory compliance by implementing and enforcing policies and procedures to maintain legal and ethical integrity. Your key accountabilities include: - Acting as the lead legal advisor for labor and employment for cross-functional teams, aligning business objectives with legal integrity. - Staying ahead of legal changes/laws to proactively mitigate risks and guide internal teams towards compliance. - Drafting and negotiating labor and employment contracts that adhere to legal mandates. - Managing and resolving employment disputes, investigations, and related legal matters. - Identifying and eliminating legal risks across business operations and contracts, implementing risk management strategies. - Implementing a centralized contract management system and enforcing strict processes for the contract lifecycle. - Conducting complex legal research to inform strategic business decisions. - Driving legal automation initiatives to streamline and automate contract processes. - Drafting and reviewing policies and controls related to labor and employment. To succeed in this role, you must have deep, specialized knowledge of labor and employment law, preferably with an LLB and 6-9 years of experience. Your ability to interpret and apply complex laws is crucial for providing sound legal advice and protecting the company from legal challenges. Additionally, you must possess strategic acumen to identify potential legal vulnerabilities, develop compliance strategies aligned with business goals, and be an effective communicator and negotiator to work closely with various departments and stakeholders.
