In this role, you will oversee that the company's housing finance products and services adhere to legal and regulatory standards. This includes reviewing marketing materials and customer-facing documents to confirm compliance and mitigate legal risks. Additionally, you will assist in resolving non-litigation disputes and customer complaints related to housing finance products and services. Furthermore, you will be expected to identify potential legal risks and develop risk management strategies to minimize the company's exposure. Collaboration with external legal counsel may be necessary at times to ensure effective communication and efficient handling of legal matters. The Role : S&P Global Commodity Insights (CI) is seeking a dynamic, commercially-minded and technologically savvy lawyer to join its Legal Strategy & Operations team as a Assistant Legal Counsel based in India, working EMEA work shift. Reporting to the Head of Legal, Strategy & Operations, this is a varied and interesting role which includes drafting commercial contract templates, legal project management, Contract Life Cycle Management (CLM), knowledge management and legal training and support. Responsibilities and Impact: Drafting, reviewing, updating and proofreading contract templates and documents, and updating and maintaining the Contract Guidelines Table, together with the teams Assistant General Counsel. Providing training as needed to SPGCIs Legal and Business teams on SPGCIs legal templates. Ensuring execution of various legal projects to drive implementation. Legal research on emerging regulations and issues to support the lawyers in the CI Legal & Compliance Team. Managing legal tech systems such as CIs CLM and eSignature, Microsoft tools such as SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, etc. Regularly updating the legal clause library in the CLM AI Tool, and training and assisting CI lawyers in the use of the Tool. Working with the Legal Operations Specialists on the CLM Tool transition and support. Regularly managing the integrity and accuracy of the information in the CLM Tool database and the CI Legal & Compliance Sharepoint knowledge-management repository, and preparing regular legal update newsletters for the CI Legal & Compliance Team. Updating the contents and design of legal training decks for use by CI lawyers in training the business. Maintaining an updated and user-friendly Commodity Insights Product List. Managing and monitoring legal team general mailboxes and other matters as assigned by the Head of Legal, Strategy & Operations. What Were Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Law degree . 4+ years of legal industry experience either in-house or at a law firm practicing law. Meticulous with excellent legal drafting skills and experience. Possesses sound legal knowledge and understanding. Experienced with CLM tools (including task automation workflows and document generation), contract management databases and other information management tools. Possesses good technical skills and is highly proficient with Microsoft applications such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel and AI tools. Pro-active and has the ability to think logically outside the box in order to provide practical win-win solutions to the CI Legal & Compliance team and the business which effectively protects S&P Globals legal interests. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Qualified as a lawyer in a common law jurisdiction. Strong interpersonal, organisational, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, and work to tight deadlines. Team player who acts in the best interests of the Company and the CI Legal & Compliance team.

Role: Director Legal (India) Location: Bangalore, work from office (JP Nagar) Experience: 17+ Years Industry: FMCG / Wellness / Consumer Goods Department: Legal & Compliance Education: LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized Indian university Role & Responsibilities: Lead legal affairs and strategy for Herbalife India and support the Vice President, Legal APAC & India. Supervise and guide a team of 4 legal professionals (2 Managers, 1 Supervisor, 1 Senior Officer). Provide legal counsel on corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters including FEMA, FSSAI, Consumer Protection, and Company Law. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (GM, Finance, HR, Ethics & Compliance, Public Affairs, etc.) to ensure legal risk mitigation and ethical business practices. Handle litigation, regulatory issues, government liaison, and represent the company in legal proceedings as needed. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, product documents, and legal agreements. Manage the company secretarial function and ensure adherence to statutory compliance. Coordinate with external law firms, regulators, and Herbalife’s global legal teams. Design and implement legal training programs to reduce legal exposure. Serve as the legal representative on the India Management Team and play a key role in crisis and issue management. Preferred Candidate Profile: Minimum 17 years of experience in reputed Indian/international law firms and/or corporate legal departments. Proven leadership experience in managing legal teams and external counsel. Strong understanding of Indian corporate, regulatory, food safety, and consumer laws. Exposure to US legal environment (securities, anti-corruption, unfair competition laws) is a plus. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinker with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach. Ability to work independently, manage crises, and navigate complex legal landscapes. Fluent in English (written and verbal); willing to travel across India as needed. Member of the Bar (any Indian state) preferred.
