Role & responsibilities

Role Overview:

industrial relations, statutory compliance, and site administration

Key Responsibilities:

Industrial Relations (IR):

  • Maintain harmonious labour relations at project sites.
  • Handle union negotiations, grievance redressal, and conflict resolution.
  • Monitor worker absenteeism, turnover, and productivity.
  • Implement disciplinary procedures in line with company policy and labour law.
  • Build rapport with local authorities, labour departments, and statutory bodies.

Statutory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws (Contract Labour Act, BOCW, Minimum Wages, PF/ESIC, etc.).
  • Verify contractor adherence to statutory norms.
  • Maintain all statutory registers, notices, and compliance records.
  • Liaise with government authorities for inspections, audits, and clearances.

Administration:

  • Manage site administration security, transport, guest house, canteen, medical, housekeeping, etc.
  • Oversee labour camp facilities (accommodation, sanitation, safety, welfare).
  • Ensure timely deployment of staff and service providers.
  • Manage ambulance and medical facilities at site.
  • Monitor vehicle allocation, fuel usage, and cost optimization.

People Management:

  • Guide and support site Admin team.
  • Conduct awareness sessions on labour laws, safety, and compliance.
  • Build effective communication between management and workers.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in HR/IR/Personnel Management or equivalent.
  • to years of experience in IR & Admin, preferably in

    construction/infrastructure projects

  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, compliance, and contractor management.
  • Experience in handling large workforce (staff + contract workers).
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi, and local language (preferred).
