Job Description

Role Overview: Join the Technical Operations team at United Airlines to work on some of the best aircraft in the world. As a Manager - Inventory Management, you will be responsible for planning inventory investment and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support maintenance needs for United Airlines fleets. Your role will involve managing a team that monitors inventory plans, identifying automation integration and analytics opportunities for efficiency improvement, and supporting organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: - Develop strategic and tactical inventory plans for routable and expendable parts to align with schedule and maintenance operations - Identify and implement internal process improvements, automation, and data optimization - Provide analytical and program management support for maintenance operations, focusing on long-term strategic plans for operational readiness - Utilize advanced data analysis techniques and tools such as SQL Coding, Palantir Foundry, Excel, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting - Design solutions for business problems in Inventory Management using data analysis, optimization tools, and BI Tools - Manage the team in making strategic adjustments to station inventory levels to support maintenance operations - Develop project plans, ensure timely project completions, and optimize team productivity by managing employee bandwidth and prioritization Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, Data Science, or a quantitative field - Understanding of supply chain operations, planning, and management - 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or process improvement in supply chain, aviation, or related industry - Proficiency in writing complex queries using SQL and other coding languages - Knowledge of data visualization tools like Spotfire, Tableau, etc. - Passion for data analytics, analytical problem-solving skills, and attention to detail - Ability to design solutions connecting business processes with quantifiable outcomes - Familiarity with supply chain functions, Line and Base maintenance planning, and automation technologies - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Legal authorization to work in India without sponsorship and fluency in English Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in a quantitative field, programming experience in SQL, Python, R, etc. - Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification, project management experience, and continuous improvement methodologies - Experience in inventory management, automation of complex business processes, ERP capabilities, and airline/supply chain operations - Strong project management skills, financial management, and policy establishment monitoring ability.,
