Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of water and wastewater treatment plants.
Manage staff and assign duties to operators, technicians, and maintenance workers.
Ensure that water and wastewater meet environmental and safety standards.
Monitor treatment processes, equipment, and chemical usage.
Prepare and review reports on water quality, plant performance, and compliance.
Schedule and supervise maintenance and repairs of treatment equipment.
Manage budgets, materials, and resources for efficient plant operations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
Train and guide employees on safety procedures and operational best practices.
Respond to emergencies such as equipment failures or water quality issues.
Develop plans for process improvement and cost reduction.
Maintain accurate records of testing, maintenance, and inspections.
Plan for plant upgrades, expansions, and modernization projects.
Promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
