Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:

    Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and improvement.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, monitor performance against budget targets, and conduct monthly or quarterly financial forecasts to guide strategic planning.
  • Accounting Operations Oversight:

    Supervise day-to-day accounting activities, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
  • Compliance and Auditing:

    Guarantee adherence to all financial regulations, laws, and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, tax laws). Coordinate all internal, statutory, and tax audit activities and implement robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
  • Cash Flow and Risk Management:

    Monitor and manage the organization's cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial obligations are met. Identify and evaluate financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Strategic Collaboration and Leadership:

    Partner with senior leadership, other departments (e.g., HR, IT, Operations), and external stakeholders (e.g., auditors, banks, ) to provide financial insights and support overall business objectives.
  • Team Management:

    Lead, mentor, and manage the finance and accounts team, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting,, or a related field (essential). A Master's degree (MBA or M.S. in Accounting/Finance) or professional certification (CPA/CA, CMA, ACCA).

Experience

Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations (GAAP, IFRS). Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills are essential. Strong analytical and data analysis skills.

Soft Skills

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
