Manager - Design and Assembly

Role Overview: You will assist in the Design & Development of fixtures, tackles, gauges, and special tools for Assembly, Testing, Painting, Packing, and Fabrication shops. You will establish new fastening tools and assembly fixtures, ensuring that the proper system is in place for updated wear part, fixture, special gauges drawings, and system documents. Additionally, you will support in establishing the Facility / Process for new Release Application codes or modified component designs, and drive continual improvement through Productivity and Quality improvement activities via Process Change Management. Furthermore, you will lead New vendor development for fixture spares, assembly tools, lifting tackles, and special gauges, and manage Resource management and coordination with Cross Functional Teams (CFTs). Your responsibilities will also include ensuring timely release of E-BOM to M-BOM, coordinating with AE and PPC for loose item definition in ERP, and having knowledge and hands-on experience of PLM for Manufacturing BOM and Engineering BOM management. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the Design & Development of fixtures, tackles, gauges, and special tools for various shops - Establish new fastening tools and assembly fixtures - Drive continual improvement through Productivity and Quality improvement activities - Lead new vendor development for fixture spares, assembly tools, lifting tackles, and special gauges - Manage resource management and coordination with Cross Functional Teams - Ensure timely release of E-BOM to M-BOM and verify accuracy - Coordinate with AE and PPC for loose item definition in ERP - Have knowledge and hands-on experience of PLM for Manufacturing BOM and Engineering BOM management Qualifications Required: - Knowledge of GD&T, Work holding devices, component and assembly drawing, machining process, costing, and sheet metal working - Familiarity with AutoCad, 3D software - Knowledge of Assembly, Testing, Painting, and Packing processes, preferably in Engine, Genset, and Fabrication shop - Understanding of tightening techniques, fastening tools, Engine and Genset terminology, and their measurement methods - Knowledge of ISO/TS, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, EHS, Kaizen/ 5S, and lean manufacturing practices - Hands-on experience of Manufacturing Module in Oracle ERP - Strong problem-solving, negotiation, people management, communication, teamwork, empathy, and creativity skills (Note: Additional details about the company were not included in the provided job description.),
