Job Description

As a Dealer Manager for the Pumps business in India, your primary responsibility will be to drive growth by managing and developing a robust sales network within the country. You will be tasked with recognizing and capitalizing on the unique challenges and opportunities present in the Indian market. Developing a network of dealers and agents to establish a strong sales presence will be crucial for our business expansion in India. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that locally produced products meet the requirements of both the domestic and export markets. Your assistance in developing the correct product specifications and pricing strategies will be essential to our success in India. To excel in this position, you should have a background in distribution sales and the aggregate industry. Proficiency in English is a must, and knowledge of an additional local language would be advantageous. Key Accountabilities: - Develop and implement sales strategies and targets for external partners in India, in line with the annual business plan. - Monitor distributor performance and take corrective actions as necessary. - Design and execute training programs for distributors to enhance their skills and capabilities. Operations / Sales and Services Responsibilities: - Create and propose territory development plans. - Identify potential distributor candidates and support in negotiating standard contracts. - Adhere to Metsos distributor policies, guidelines, and tools. - Coordinate with external partners, manufacturing, proposal, and aftermarket teams to provide adequate sales, service, and technical support to distributors. - Gather market intelligence on distributors, competitors, and customers to make informed decisions. - Participate in exhibitions, events, and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility. - Undertake special projects as required. Expected Outcomes: - Ensure all Indian Dealer Network contracts are in place with accurate pricelists. - Implement and manage new distributor business plans, including inventory management. - Monitor and achieve sales targets, monthly forecasts, and evaluation reports. - Manage distributor training initiatives to enhance staff skills. Educational Background & Experience: The ideal candidate will have: - A proven track record in achieving business targets. - Experience in the aggregates industry and sales management. - Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. - Understanding of distribution management practices. - Fluency in English and preferably another European language. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. - Excellent presentation skills for various audiences.,
