Manager Business Information System (BIS)_Mumbai Known Gas Company

Purpose of the job

We are looking for a seasoned IT manager to lead implementation of enterprise systems and digital initiatives. As Manager BIS, the person will play a strategic role in managing SAP S/4 HANA systems, SAP system governance, leading key IT projects, and driving digital transformation across departments. Key Activities / Accountabilities

• SAP & Enterprise Applications
• Oversee governance and support for core SAP modules including S/4 HANA, HR & Payroll (OM, PA, Time, Payroll, WebDynPro), MM, SD, PM, FICO etc.
• Manage ongoing SAP projects (e.g., RISE with SAP migration, automation initiatives).
• Collaborate with process owners and business heads to drive SAP enhancements and resolve issues.
• IT Project Management & Digital Transformation
• Drive major IT initiatives such as Salesforce implementation, AI/ML PoCs, workflow automation, and self-service tools.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align IT roadmaps with business goals.
• Lead cross-functional digitalisation programs across departments.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies aligned with business goals (e.g., WatsonX, Power BI, AI chatbots).
• IT Governance & Compliance
• Ensure IT systems comply with regulatory, audit, and cybersecurity norms.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors for IS audits / ITGC and compliance tracking.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Interface with senior leadership to provide regular updates and strategic insights.
• Manage vendor performance, contracts, SLAs, and budgeting for BIS initiatives.
• Lead external partner engagements and represent in technical discussions with external partners (e.g., IBM, SAP, Salesforce).
• Team & Process Leadership
• Mentor and lead team to execute project deliverables.
• Establish processes for incident management, change requests, and technology adoption.
• Prepare project documentation, business cases, training plans, and MIS reports.
• Co-ordinate with vendors

Essential Educational Qualification, Experience

B.E. (Electronics and Communication or IT Full time

PMP / ITIL / SAP certification preferred. Preferred Knowledge, competencies, and skills

• 8+ years of experience in IT, with strong exposure to SAP S/4 HANA, project management, and digital platforms.
• Experience leading large IT/digital transformation projects in mid- to large-scale enterprises.
• Proven expertise in IT project management (preferably PMP-certified).
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, cloud platforms, automation tools, and Power BI.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of IT audit, compliance, and risk management practices.
• Proven track record of stakeholder and vendor engagement.
• Good Written and Oral Communication skills Required Behavioural Competencies
