Manager – Airport System Design

Purpose/Objective

Lead - Airport Systems (Design) is responsible for supporting in developing and executing design plans for airport systems in collaboration with senior leadership team. This role focuses on the efficient design and implementation of systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, technological innovation, and high-quality performance. The Lead manages a team, maintains stakeholder relationships, and drives design-oriented advancements in airport systems.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Develop and Execute Design Plans : Contribute to the development of plans for airport system projects, ensuring design elements align with operational goals, user experience and strategic goals identified by senior leadership team. Implement design-specific strategic plans for airport systems, ensuring the development of efficient, scalable designs. Project Monitoring and Quality Control: Develop a framework of guidelines to ensure that execution of system design is in accordance with specifications and quality standards outlined during Design phase. Assist senior team members during on- site inspections and resolve any design related queries Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the compliance of airport systems' design with health, safety, and environmental standards as well as local and international regulations. Participate in design audits and enforce corrective measures to ensure standards are met. Budget Management: Assist senior leadership team in creating budget for Airport System Design projects. Monitor expenditures periodically to minimize budget overruns while meeting safety and operational standards. Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead stakeholder engagement focused on design aspects, ensuring clear communication of design progress and challenges. Foster relationships to ensure stakeholder satisfaction with design solutions and efficient collaboration. Team Leadership and Development: Manage design team members to ensure alignment with project objectives and efficiency in the development process. Provide guidance and training to resolve design challenges and enhance overall team performance. Digital Mindset Identify and integrate new technologies and methodologies to enhance the design of airport systems. Promote innovative design solutions that improve operational efficiency and long-term system sustainability Internal Stakeholders: Chief Design & Planning Lead Engineer Design Team Project Management Team Engineering Team IT Systems Team Maintenance Crews Legal Team Finance Team Project Design Team External Stakeholders: Airlines Regulators and Government Entities Suppliers and Contractors Local Communities Environmental Groups.

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: B.Tech / M. Tech in Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution. Additional certifications in Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred Work Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience in specialized airport systems
