As the Manager Agronomy & Development at SQM Iodine Plant Nutrition, you will play a crucial role in further developing and increasing the usage of potassium nitrate, potassium nitrate-based formulations, and other water-soluble fertilizers in fertigation. Your mission will involve leading a small team to create market demand, grow the potassium nitrate market, and increase SQM's share in the market. You will collaborate closely with international Agro-technical teams from other SQM affiliates worldwide. Your responsibilities will include supporting the development of Specialty Plant Nutrition fertilizers, optimizing fertilization methods such as fertigation and foliar applications, and enhancing irrigation management. You will establish well-balanced crop nutrition programs for various target crops, focusing on fruits, vegetables, cut flowers, industrial crops, and plantation crops. Additionally, you will become a crop specialist for the crops in your geographic area and share your expertise with a global team. **What You'll Do:** - Provide technical support by visiting growers to identify issues and promote well-balanced plant nutrition programs. - Work on developing customized NPK formulas for specific crops. - Conduct presentations during trainings and seminars for distributors and customers. - Oversee trials and experiments and collaborate with research centers. - Represent SQM at congresses and conferences. - Collaborate with the marketing team to create communication materials. - Maintain detailed records of crops and development projects. **Development of Sales Network:** - Identify and onboard new wholesalers to expand sales network. - Build strong relationships with existing and potential partners. - Implement strategies to enhance product reach and penetration. **Market Intelligence:** - Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges. - Analyze competitor activities, product offerings, and market trends. - Cultivate relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders. **Team Lead:** - Provide strategic direction to field staff. - Foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration within the agronomy department. **The Skills You'll Need:** - Master's degree in Agronomy or related field. - Fluent in Marathi and Hindi, with professional-level English communication skills. - Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email. - Enthusiastic, accurate, initiative-taking, and result-oriented. - Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in plant nutrition and fertigation. **WE OFFER:** - Permanent hiring - Working days: Monday to Friday - Location: Solapur/Pune/Nasik, Maharashtra, India (with field travel) - Dynamic work environment and continuous learning opportunities At SQM Iodine Plant Nutrition, we are committed to inclusivity, and we welcome applicants who may require adjustments for participation in our selection processes.,
