Job Description

We are seeking a Manager Accounts & Finance who will support our growing CFO Services Team in Bangalore & Udupi locations in Karnataka.

Job purpose

The purpose of this job is to oversee financial operations, manage accounting teams, and ensure compliance with US financial regulations.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting activities (payables, receivables, payroll, etc.).
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors
  • Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team
  • Conduct performance reviews and set goals for team members
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Mitigate financial risks and implement internal controls.

  • Monthly Submission of MIS Reports to Management and Banks
  • Ensure timely closure of monthly closing activities.
  • Ensure monthly and quarterly deliverables on timely basis like vendor reconciliation Ensure setting up of the internal control policies and adherence of policies
  • Meet defined department goals and activity metrics
  • Monthly Closing of accounts and preparation of MIS, P&L, Balance sheets etc.
  • Responsible for the Credit Management monthly cycle - Call clients for due, overdue items; Establish and maintain accounts relationships with the clients
  • Monitor customer account details and identify and investigate non payments, delayed payments and reconcile gaps in payment and collection systems/records;
  • Take ownership in getting business inputs for key P&L and Balance Sheet items

Qualifications/Skills

  • CA/MBA/CPA with 10+ yrs of experience in Accounting, Finance Reporting etc.
  • Proven experience as a finance manager or similar role, preferably in a multinational environment
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial regulations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Solid team management skills with ability to guide/mentor multiple junior associates
  • Strong Financial Modelling skills with ability to build Budgets, Forecasts/Projections
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in ERP systems like SAGE 500 and QuickBooks would be preferred
  • Exposure to Business Intelligence tools like PowerBI would be a plus
  • Should show confidence and prowess to interact with top management of the client with ability to ask the right questions and add value to the deliverables
  • Should be dynamic and ready to face challenging situations especially during month end

Working conditions

  • Should be able to work in shifts, supporting clients in US time zones
  • Work location is in Udupi
