Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager with a strong US GAAP and technical accounting background to manage our local Indian entity and support group activities. This role will prioritize technical accounting expertise while also playing a pivotal role in managing the General Ledger (GL) team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex financial operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local regulations, and leading process optimization efforts while developing and mentoring teams.

What Youll Do:

Ensure financial operations align with US GAAP, technical accounting standards, and local Indian regulations.
Oversee the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements, tax filings, tax audit, transfer pricing compliance and other local audits.
Manage TDS and GST filings and oversee annual tax returns and reconciliations across entities.
Ensuring compliance with STPI, banking and other applicable laws and regulations
Support the global finance team by contributing to preparatory tasks for group reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
Assist with data collection, reconciliations, and processes that facilitate group reporting and consolidation.
Manage reconciliations, month-end close processes, and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the CoE.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team across the accounting function.
Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to support team growth and professional advancement.
Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment that emphasizes accountability and excellence.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.

What You Bring:

10+ years experience, including Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification with 3+ years of experience in a Big Four accounting firm, specializing in US GAAP and technical accounting.
At least 4 years of managerial experience managing teams in financial operations and accounting.
Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, TDS, GST, and income tax compliance.
Proven ability to lead and manage accounting functions.
Understanding of US GAAP, SOX and local compliance requirements.
Leadership skills with a proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities.
Proficiency in financial systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
