Maintenance Manager

The Plant Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the rice processing mill/plant to ensure optimal functionality, efficiency, and safety of all equipment and facilities. You should have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, experience in a manufacturing or processing environment, and excellent leadership skills. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Additionally, you will manage the scheduling, oversight, and execution of routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks for all plant machinery, ensuring timely and efficient completion. It will be your responsibility to lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians to ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintenance standards. Managing the inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies to ensure availability while controlling costs and maintaining cost-effective operations will also be part of your role. You will need to conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks. Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance will also be crucial. Key Skills required for this role include having a positive attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure, excellent leadership and team management skills, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and proficiency in using maintenance management software. Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You should have a minimum of 10-20 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a rice processing plant or similar manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of plant machinery, maintenance practices, and safety regulations is essential.
