Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring skill development and high performance.
  
• Plan, schedule, and oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance activities across FMCG manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, supply chain) to reduce disruptions in operations.
  
• Conduct routine inspections and audits of facilities and FMCG-specific machinery, identifying potential risks or improvement areas.
  
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, emergencies, and maintenance requests to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
  
• Manage vendor relationships for outsourced maintenance services and specialized repairs.
  
• Prepare and manage the maintenance department budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  
• Procure tools, spare parts, and consumables required for FMCG operations.
  
• Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement in performance.
  
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.
  
• Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and accountability across the maintenance team.
  
• Recommend process improvements and technology upgrades to optimize FMCG operations.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
  

• 5–8 years of experience in maintenance management within the FMCG industry (mandatory).

• Strong knowledge of FMCG manufacturing machinery (packaging, processing, utilities, etc.).
  
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  
• Proficiency in maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  
• In-depth knowledge of safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance within FMCG operations.
