Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager in the Chemical Industry based in Vadodara (Manjusar) is a key role involving the planning, execution, and supervision of all maintenance activities within the manufacturing facility. Your responsibility includes ensuring the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all plant equipment and infrastructure, particularly focusing on mechanical maintenance. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around the following key areas: Maintenance Strategy & Planning: You will be tasked with developing, implementing, and optimizing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs for all plant machinery, equipment, and utility systems. It will be crucial to forecast and manage the maintenance budget effectively, ensuring the allocation of resources is cost-effective without compromising safety or quality. Team Leadership & Management: As a Manager, you will lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team comprising maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians, and fitters to ensure seamless operations and maintenance activities. Mechanical Maintenance: Your role will involve overseeing the maintenance and repair of various equipment including rotating equipment (such as pumps, compressors, agitators, centrifuges, gearboxes), static equipment (like reactors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks), piping, and material handling systems. It will be essential to ensure proper alignment, lubrication, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring for critical mechanical assets. Additionally, managing welding, fabrication, and structural repair activities will be part of your responsibilities. Spares Management & Procurement: You will be required to optimize spare parts inventory management to ensure the availability of critical spares while minimizing holding costs. Coordinating with the procurement department for timely sourcing of quality spares, tools, and services will also fall under your purview. Evaluating vendors and contractors for maintenance-related services will be essential for efficient operations. Continuous Improvement & Reliability Engineering: Implementing reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and root cause analysis (RCA) techniques will be crucial to identify and eliminate recurring failures. Driving initiatives for maintenance cost reduction, energy conservation, and efficiency improvement will be part of your continuous improvement efforts. Promoting the adoption of new maintenance technologies and best practices, such as predictive maintenance tools, will also be a key aspect of your role.
