Maintenance Head (Maintenance-Pharama)

Job Title: Maintenance Head
Department: Engineering/Maintenance

Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Engineering
Experience: 5 to 7 Years in the Engineering Department of a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company
Industry: Pharmaceutical Formulation Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC (AHU), water systems (RO, WFI), and pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Supervise and ensure proper functioning of equipment for tablet, syrup, and ointment production lines.
• Plan and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all plant machinery and utilities.
• Maintain all documentation as per GMP and WHO guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with WHO GMP requirements for countries like Uganda, Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, and other African regions.
• Coordinate with production, QA, and external vendors for smooth maintenance operations.
• Lead the engineering team and provide training for skill development and safety compliance.
• Identify and resolve mechanical and technical issues promptly to avoid downtime.
• Manage engineering budgets and spare parts inventory efficiently.
• Participate in audits and ensure readiness of the engineering department as per regulatory requirements.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment (Tablet press, Coating, Liquid filling, Ointment manufacturing)
• Expertise in HVAC (AHU), purified water systems, and utility equipment
• Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance
• GMP & WHO Compliance
• Engineering Documentation & Record Keeping
• Team Leadership & Vendor Coordination
• Problem-solving and Analytical Thinking
• Familiarity with international audit standards (WHO GMP for African countries)
• Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills

• Candidates residing near Kadi, Kalol, Gandhinagar, or Mehsana will be given preference

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
