Role: Senior Mainframe Developer / Lead

Mainframe professional

Key Responsibilities

Lead and drive development on
CICS-based applications
with focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using
COBOL, JCL, IMS, and DB2
.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical solutions, and ensure timely delivery.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex mainframe issues.
Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and participate in code/design reviews.
Ensure compliance with industry best practices and client standards.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of strong hands-on experience
in Mainframe technologies.
CICS (must-have, top priority)
proven expertise in application design, development, and optimization.
Strong proficiency in
COBOL, JCL, IMS DB/DC, and DB2
.
Work with
MQ
for message queuing and system integration.
Experience in performance tuning and production support.
Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
Prior experience in a
lead / senior role
is highly desirable.
