Job Description

Purpose:


  • Mainframe Delivery Leads work closely with all stakeholders such as Project Managers, Implementation Managers, Product Owners, Service Delivery, Enterprise Release, Change Management, etc. in managing the delivery of Mainframe’s Solution by defining timelines/schedules, forecasts, providing guidance to stakeholders where necessary, and ensuring compliance is adhered to, in order to deliver Mainframe’s solution for an initiative.
  • Ownership/accountability for end to end Technology Delivery for Account Management Projects in accordance with business requirements.
  • Ensures Mainframe’s document artefacts are in their correct state (approved, etc.) and repositories. This includes ensuring Reviews, Walkthroughs have been conducted, and Signoffs have been obtained and recorded onto their various repositories.
  • Tracks & Ensures Rally Feature(s) are up to date and progressing as expected.
  • Ensures risks and issues are called out in a timely manner along with implementing appropriate measures.


Candidate should have experience with Banking or Financial Services Industry


Essential capabilities:


  • Significant demonstrated Project Management within large, complex environments, preferably banking and financial services
  • Strong strategic planning capabilities
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management as this will assist with mainframe engagement aspects.
  • Building, managing, and leading teams
  • Agile certification and demonstrated experience delivering projects utilising agile methodology
  • Track record of operating effectively and delivering consistent results in a large complex business
  • Proven stakeholder and vendor management skills
  • Strong leadership skills and experience, both directly and indirectly


Experience:


  • 10+ years technology Projects Delivery experience
  • Experience managing and delivering large complex projects containing multiple streams, across multiple regions, with multiple vendors
  • Relevant degree or qualification and a project management professional accreditation
  • Experience across Agile and adaptive delivery models and mindsets
  • Proven experience in Delivering and implementing high-availability mainframe solutions for complex business operations , particularly in banking or financial services
  • Change, Incident and Risk management experience
  • Experienced with delivering technology solutions through to production environments frequently
  • Service Now and Rally Experience


Qualification Requirements:


  • Tertiary degree in Finance, Banking and IT from a recognised institution is preferred
  • Agile Certification / Project Management certification is desirable
