Main Circuit Design Engineer

As a Main Circuit Equipment Engineer at Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC), you will be part of the HVDC unit within the organization. With a team of over 2600 skilled engineers, the focus is on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation, and commissioning. Your role as a Project Engineer will involve working on the electrical design of main circuit equipment in projects of medium to high complexity. You will collaborate closely with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment are effectively communicated and agreed upon with potential suppliers. Additionally, you will be responsible for witnessing tests of equipment, participating in commissioning on site, providing technical evaluation of supplier proposals, and ensuring the supplied equipment is fit for purpose. In this position, you will work in coordination with system design, mechanical design, and control teams for continuous improvement. Direct interaction with customers and suppliers, participation in project teams, attendance at project meetings, and presentation of specific aspects of engineering assignments will be part of your responsibilities. Previous experience with High Voltage Equipment or performing studies for rating of high voltage equipment will be advantageous.
