Job Description – Interior Machine Operator

Position: Interior Machine Operator
Department: Production / Factory
Location: Chalakudi

1. Job Summary

The Interior Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining interior production machines such as Panel Saw, CNC Router, Edge Banding Machine, Multi-boring, Cutting Machines, and other woodworking equipment. The operator ensures accurate cutting, smooth production flow, and high-quality output as per drawings.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operations

• Operate machines like CNC, Panel Saw, Edge Banding, Multi-boring, Cutting, Lamination Machines, etc.
• Set machine parameters, tools, and programs as per each job.
• Ensure precise cutting, drilling, and finishing according to drawings/BOQ.

Production & Quality

• Read and understand cutting lists, job cards, and technical drawings.
• Maintain accuracy and minimize wastage of materials (plywood, MDF, laminate, etc.).
• Inspect output quality and ensure finishing standards.
• Report any defects or issues immediately.

Maintenance

• Perform daily machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Monitor machine performance and report breakdowns to the maintenance team.
• Ensure tools/blades/bits are in good condition.

Safety & Process Compliance

• Follow all factory safety rules and wear PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized machine area.
• Ensure proper material handling and loading/unloading.

Documentation

• Update production logs, output sheets, and job completion status.
• Maintain records of material usage and wastage.

3. Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years experience in interior factory or woodworking machinery operation.
• Knowledge of CNC routing, Panel Saw cutting, Edge Banding, and similar machines.
• Ability to read technical drawings and measurement knowledge.
• Basic computer knowledge (for CNC program selection).
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Physically fit to handle factory work environments.

4. Education

• SSLC/Plus Two or ITI/Diploma in Carpentry or Mechanical preferred.

5. Work Environment

• Factory-based role with shift timings.
• Requires coordination with supervisors, carpenters, and production team.

6. Reporting To

• Factory Manager / Production In-charge.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
