Job Description

Financial Create PR for rake handling & transportation, differential freight, godown rent, godown handling & material required at godown Ensure that the handling and transportation of rake bills should be correct as per the dispatch quantity and that the accurate amount has been processed Make service entry sheet of all the bills to be passed through SAP for submission of bills to accounts for payment Ensure settling of the company records of accounting by determining the exact amounts payable as well as those pending for cash receiving
Manage and process financial deals among various companies and/or clients, at times beyond national boundaries Wrap up financial tasks within a stipulated period of accounting, without failing out on a single aspect even; cross-check all the entries in the various accounting books and financial statements so as to identify any faults or error that might have occurred and also adopt immediate measures to solve the accounting problem
Manage freights and review rates as per the State laws or company rules Ensure proper abiding of the strictures imposed for management of logistics accounts Assess the modes of payments, rate of return, policies and benefits underlying the program, and other details that form part of logistics accounting Take initiatives to drive growth for DCBL and ensure sustained growth in line with long-term and short-term objectives of the organization 2
Customer Co-ordinate with various parties for signing financial contracts and agreements, with thorough adherence of legal issues Communicate all debits / credits through mail to all transporters and ensure proper filing Ensure proper follow up with Commercial Department for raising the PO as soon as possible and releasing the PO from Department Head with proper approval note Increase trust and transparency with transporters through regular conduct of reverse auctions for freight discovery Schedule market visit to meet key customers & improve service levels Incubate new delivery models for better service to customers 3
Operations Provide correct provision to accounts by collecting the data from all the area heads so that finance can take the amount as provision for that particular month Process the bills as soon as possible: create PR, ensure its release from the particular department Head, forward it for PO to commercial department & make service entry sheet & submitting the bills to accounts Ensure preparation of logistics account reports and properly forwarding them to higher authorities Ensure all transporter bills are submitted on or before 10th and ensure no pending POD and COB Aim towards reduction in primary and secondary freight Ensure adherence to SOP s and ensure all process to be linked with SAP and stage-wise check at all levels
Ensure error data entry in SAP number of errors observed per month Make visit to Packing House & make report on the observations/ suggestions Ensure initiation and sensitization of the employees towards digitization and automation of the processes Focus on utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive key insights critical for the success of the organization 4
Self/ Team Development Review and monitor performance of team members and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs Recommend training as required for team s development Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees
