Job Title: Logistics Coordinator / Supply Chain Coordinator / Dispatch Coordinator / Transportation Coordinator Department: Logistics / Supply Chain / Operations / Warehouse & Distribution Reports To: Logistics Manager / Supply Chain Manager / Operations Manager Location: Nashik, Maharashtra, India (This role is typically office-based, but may involve visits to warehouses, transport hubs, or client sites within Nashik and surrounding areas). Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized, efficient, and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage and streamline our transportation and supply chain operations in Nashik. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery, optimizing costs, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of logistics processes and documentation. Key Responsibilities: Transportation Coordination: Coordinate and schedule the dispatch of goods (finished products, raw materials, etc.) to customers, distributors, or other facilities, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules. Liaise with various transport vendors (trucking companies, courier services, freight forwarders) to arrange optimal shipping methods and secure competitive rates. Track and monitor shipments in transit, providing real-time updates to relevant stakeholders (internal teams, customers). Manage and resolve any transportation-related issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies. Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, verify, and process all necessary logistics documentation, including Waybills, E-way Bills, invoices, packing lists, delivery challans, and proof of delivery (PODs). Ensure all dispatches comply with local and national transportation regulations (e.g., RTO rules, GST compliance for E-way bills). Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound shipments. Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with transport vendors and logistics service providers. Evaluate vendor performance based on delivery times, service quality, and cost-effectiveness. Assist in vendor selection and negotiation of transport contracts/rates. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination: Coordinate closely with warehouse/store teams to ensure proper loading/unloading, dispatch readiness, and accurate stock management. Communicate dispatch plans and requirements to the warehouse team. Assist in periodic inventory counts and reconciliation related to dispatches. Cost Optimization & Efficiency: Identify opportunities for optimizing transportation routes, consolidating shipments, and reducing logistics costs without compromising service levels. Analyze logistics data to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Communication & Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Sales, Production, and Customer Service teams regarding dispatch schedules, delivery statuses, and any potential issues. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports on dispatch volumes, delivery performance, and transportation costs. Handle customer inquiries related to delivery status or logistics issues.
