Kherwadi Social Welfare Association (KSWA) was founded in 1928, with its flagship movement Yuva Parivartan (YP) established in 1998. YP’s mission is to provide deprived youth and women with sustainable livelihood opportunities through technical, business, and life skills training programs, leading to attitudinal change and income generation. Over the past 25 years, YP has improved the employability of more than 1 million young people and women, helping them earn livelihoods. The organization's programs are known for their practical training focus, flexible timings, and quick benefits due to short course durations. YP leverages a network of field counselors, community leaders, and local livelihood connections, along with digital tools like social media and the Yuva Kaushal e-learning app, to mobilize students at scale.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Livelihood Training Centre Manager and Community Mobilizer, based on-site in Hyderabad. The individual in this role will manage the daily operations of the training center, coordinate and oversee training programs, mobilize the community to participate in livelihood programs, and maintain relationships with local community leaders and livelihood providers. Additionally, responsibilities include overseeing trainers, tracking progress and outcomes of various programs, organizing events and workshops, and reporting on the center’s activities and impact.

Qualifications

  • Project and Program Management skills: Experience in managing training centers, programs, and events
  • Community Mobilization and Engagement skills: Ability to connect with local communities, leaders, and mobilize youth and women
  • Communication and Interpersonal skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Technical and Administrative skills: Proficiency in using digital tools for e-learning and maintaining administrative records
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making skills: Aptitude for handling challenges and making informed decisions
  • Experience in the development sector or NGO is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, Management, or related field
