Job Description

Linux & VMware Administrator

Education

  • Required

    : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field


Experience

  • Minimum 7

    + years

    of experience in Linux OS engineering and automation
  • Hands-on experience with at least

    two mainstream Linux distributions

    (Red Hat, Ubuntu, SUSE)
  • Proven background in

    automation, scripting, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code


Key Responsibilities

  • Linux Administration

    : Configure, secure, and maintain

    Linux servers

    (Red Hat, Ubuntu, SUSE) across on-premises and cloud platforms.

  • Automation & IaC

    : Automate system deployments, upgrades, and configurations using

    Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Bourne Shell, and Python

    .

  • CI/CD Enablement

    : Design and maintain pipelines using

    Jenkins, Tekton, and GitHub/GitOps

    for infrastructure and application deployments.

  • Containerization & Orchestration

    : Deploy and manage workloads with

    Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker

    .

  • Infrastructure Operations

    : Implement monitoring, observability, and performance tuning for Linux systems and hybrid infrastructure.

  • Security & Compliance

    : Apply patches, manage security policies, and ensure compliance across infrastructure.

  • Troubleshooting & Support

    : Provide

    L3 engineering support

    to operations teams for Linux and automation-related issues.

  • Collaboration

    : Work with cross-functional teams (applications, hardware, and cloud) to deploy infrastructure in multiple environments (on-prem, plant, cloud).
