Linux System Administrator (L2/L3)

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

   Diagnose and resolve complex Linux issues beyond L1/L2 scope. Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

• System Administration:

   Install, configure, patch, and maintain Linux servers for optimal performance.

• Automation & Scripting:

   Develop Bash/Python scripts and leverage tools like

  Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

   for automation.

• Performance Monitoring:

   Use

  Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus

   for proactive system health checks and performance tuning.

• Infrastructure Projects:

   Support upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.

• Virtualization:

  Manage

  VMware and Proxmox

   environments, including VM provisioning and resource optimization.

• Security & Compliance:

   Implement Linux security best practices, firewalls, IDS, and vulnerability management.

Qualifications

• Education:

  Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.

• Experience:

  5–8 years in Linux system administration.

• Certifications:

  RHCE or equivalent certifications are a strong plus (not mandatory).

• Technical Skills:

• Linux expertise (Ubuntu, RHEL, Rocky Linux)
• Virtualization (VMware, Proxmox)
• Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)

• Scripting (Bash, Python)
• Configuration Management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Monitoring tools ( Zabbix, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Nagios)
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
• Security hardening and compliance

• Soft Skills:

   Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. Ability to mentor junior administrators and explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
