Linux Engineer – Job Description

Location: Noida
Job Type: Full-time / On-site
Experience: 1–3 years (customizable)

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers and systems.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
Configure and manage services such as Apache/Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, SSH, DNS, and FTP.
Implement security measures and perform vulnerability checks.
Support DevOps and development teams in deployment and automation tasks.
Maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat).
Experience with shell scripting (Bash/Python).
Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Firewall, DNS).
Hands-on experience with system monitoring tools.
Knowledge of virtualization or cloud platforms (AWS, VMware, etc.) is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or automation tools (Ansible).
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
