Line Supervisor

Role Overview: As a Diploma holder in Mechanical or Production, you will be responsible for managing a team of 10-12 workmen in the weld body shop. Your primary focus will be on process improvement to enhance quality, productivity, and safety. Additionally, you will have administrative control of the team, including manpower management, training, and skill upgradation. Achieving production and quality targets, as well as identifying and implementing efficiency enhancements through continuous improvement practices such as KAIZEN, will be key aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Manage a team of 10-12 workmen in the weld body shop - Implement process improvements to enhance quality, productivity, and safety - Administer team activities including manpower management, training, and skill upgradation - Achieve production and quality targets while focusing on loss recovery - Hands-on experience with line operations, part loading sequence, and line data management - Conduct efficiency analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives (KAIZEN) - Train new workmen - Perform defect analysis and implement countermeasures - Ensure knowledge of welding jigs, safety checks, and quality checks - Familiarity with spot welding process and robot teaching/programming - Hands-on experience with spot reteaching and sealer application teaching - Knowledge of quality systems to maintain weld body quality - Understanding of body accuracy and operation analysis - Proficiency in sealer application and hemming process in doors Qualifications Required: - Diploma in Mechanical or Production - Knowledge of welding jigs, safety checks, and quality checks - Understanding of spot welding process - Basic knowledge of robot teaching/programming and hands-on experience with spot reteaching and sealer application teaching - Familiarity with quality systems for maintaining weld body quality - Proficiency in body accuracy and operation analysis - Experience with sealer application and hemming process in doors (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.),
