About The Position
We are looking for a committed Instructor/trainer to lead the implementation of Introduction to Basic Technology project, specifically focusing on agriculture and living forms training for students from class 6th to 10th. The role focuses on practical agricultural education, hands-on farming techniques, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Responsibilities
- Establish kitchen gardens/terrace gardens, prepare nursery plants/pot cultivation, conduct seed treatment, guide plant nurturing, harvesting, and vertical gardening
- Implement plant propagation techniques, vermin composting, organic pesticide preparation, soil testing and fertilizer application
- Teach field crop cultivation, agricultural tools and techniques, irrigation systems, mulching and de-weeding, create terrarium projects
- Demonstrate protected cultivation techniques (humidity chamber), hydroponics/advanced agriculture, use of IT in agriculture, fodder techniques
- Organize visits to Agricultural University/KVK/progressive farmers, demonstrate use of AI in agriculture, calculate farm profitability, coordinate market yard visits
Additional Responsibilities
- Calendarize training sessions for classes 6-10
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, local authorities, and community leaders
- Prepare detailed session plans and conduct regular classes
- Ensure proper laboratory setup and coordinate with Manager
- Monitor program progress, collect data, and report on outcomes
- Conduct regular assessments as per the curriculum plan.
Mandatory Qualification And Experience
- B.Sc in Agriculture/Horticulture/Botany
- Knowledge of modern farming techniques, organic farming, and agricultural technology
- 0-2 years of experience in agricultural training or field work
- Strong communication skills in Hindi and local languages (Gujarati preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with reporting tools
- Willingness to conduct field visits and outdoor activities
- Basic understanding of agricultural equipment and tools
