Job Summary: -

dedicated and detail-oriented L0 Monitoring Analyst

Key Responsibility: -

Proactive Monitoring

  • Continuously monitor key IT systems, network devices, applications, jobs, and services using advanced monitoring tools (e.g., JP1, SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, SCOM, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, OpsRamp).
  • Actively identify and acknowledge alerts, events, and anomalies, ensuring no critical issue goes unnoticed.

Incident Identification and Escalation

  • Respond promptly to alerts and incidents, performing initial triage and basic troubleshooting tasks (e.g., service restarts, disk clean-up commands if permitted).
  • Escalate unresolved or high-severity incidents to L1/L2 support teams as per escalation protocols.

Adherence to SOPs

  • Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for incident handling, escalation, and documentation.
  • Ensure all actions align with predefined workflows and organizational policies.

Precise and Timely Communication

  • Maintain clear and concise communication with on-call engineers, shift leads, and stakeholders to ensure seamless incident resolution.
  • Provide detailed and accurate updates during escalations and shift handovers.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Log all incidents, actions taken, and resolution or escalation steps in IT Service Management (ITSM) tools with precision.
  • Contribute to incident reviews, providing insights on recurring issues and improvement opportunities.

Tool and Dashboard Maintenance

  • Ensure monitoring tools and dashboards are fully operational, reporting any issues or inconsistencies promptly.
  • Suggest enhancements to monitoring configurations to improve accuracy and reduce false positives.

Mandatory skills: -

  • Technical Skills

    :
  • Foundational understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, operating systems, networks, and applications).
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools and ITSM platforms is mandatory.
  • Behavioural Skills

    :
  • Strong commitment to ensuring system reliability and performance.
  • Ability to respond to incidents with urgency and precision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on concise and clear updates.

  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow SOPs diligently.
  • Work Schedule

    :
  • Willingness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualification: -

desirable.

Certification in IT/Networking (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, CCNA) is a plus.

Experience:-

with monitoring tools, network operation center with excellent communication skills
