Job Description

Responsibilities:

Design & Development:
Create detailed photovoltaic (PV) system designs, including site plans, elevation plans, attachment details, and electrical schematics.
Technical Support:
Provide technical guidance to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, commissioning, and performance monitoring.
Compliance:
Ensure all designs comply with NEC, applicable codes, standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
Collaboration:
Work closely with clients and contractors to provide technical expertise and streamline project communication.
Documentation:
Prepare technical drawings, project documentation, and detailed bills of materials (BOM).
Optimization:
Perform energy production calculations and recommend system optimizations to enhance performance.
Innovation:
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and regulatory changes in the PV industry.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelors degree in Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum 1-6 years of experience in solar engineering or PV system design.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and PV design software such as PVSyst and Helioscope
Strong understanding of photovoltaic systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices

Soft Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Certifications:
Relevant certifications in renewable energy or PV system design are preferred.
Other Requirements:
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
