The role involves analyzing legal, regulatory, and crime-related materials, conducting structured research across multiple jurisdictions, and preparing concise, accurate briefs for internal use in investigative and media projects. Key Responsibilities Conduct structured research on past crime-related cases Locate, review, and summarize court documents, official orders, regulatory filings, and authoritative reports. Prepare concise, structured briefs highlighting key parties, issues, timelines, and implications. Verify and cross-check facts across multiple sources (official portals, credible media, academic/legal databases). Use AI tools to assist with drafting summaries, but ensure accuracy and fact-checking. Organize findings into spreadsheets, timelines, and structured reports for use by the creative team. Required Skills & Qualifications Background as a paralegal, legal researcher, or law graduate (B.A. LL.B / LL.M preferred, but not mandatory if strong research experience). Strong ability to read and interpret court orders, case filings, and regulatory documents. Excellent online research skills (government portals, legal databases, academic journals). High attention to detail and ability to distinguish primary vs secondary sources. Strong written English with ability to produce concise, professional briefs. Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) is an advantage, but judgment and fact-checking are essential. Comfortable handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
