Legal Editor (Legal Stream and Corporate/Business Stream)

Position Overview: The Legal Editor is responsible for creating, reviewing, and curating legally accurate content in the legal, tax, contracting, and regulatory sectors. The role emphasizes editorial standards, clarity, compliance, and simplifying complex concepts for a professional audience.

Work Location: Hybrid (Delhi or Bangalore office) with Option to work remote for experienced candidates

Key Responsibilities.:

· Develop and maintain editorial calendars, newsletters and publications covering courts, corporate law, policy, and regulatory developments

· Review, edit, and proofread legal content for accuracy, clarity, and compliance.

· Create engaging, legally precise content tailored for various professional segments.

· Ensure consistency and high-quality presentation of all internal and external publications.

For General Editor Role (Legal Stream)

· Conduct legal research on new laws, regulations, judgments, and updates..

· Collaborate with legal researchers, subject matter experts, and internal teams.

· Track and analyze content engagement, incorporating improvements to maintain relevance and reader value.

For Editor (Corporate/Business Stream)

· Lead and curate coverage of corporate legal developments, company law, securities, IBC, taxation, mergers & acquisitions, and related domains.

· Develop exclusive and insightful stories that shape discussions in the business and corporate legal ecosystem.

Required Qualifications:

· Law degree (LLB/LLM or equivalent legal qualification).

· Experience in legal content creation or editing.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional command of English.

· Strong understanding of legal frameworks, statutory updates, and case law.

· Proven ability to simplify complex legal information into clearly understandable content.

Preferred Skills:

· Familiarity with AI and the legal tech industry.

· Experience with content management systems.

· Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards in publishing.

Personal Qualities:

· Interest in AI with a strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

· Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

· Self-motivated, independent, and able to work under deadlines.
