About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled legal professional to join our real estate due diligence team. The Legal Counsel will be responsible for conducting comprehensive legal and compliance checks on builders, brokers, and real estate projects to help our clients make informed property purchase decisions. This role requires deep knowledge of Indian real estate laws, RERA regulations, contract review, and property documentation verification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal due diligence on real estate projects, developers, and brokers.
  • Review and verify property titles, approvals, licenses, and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Identify legal risks, discrepancies, and encumbrances, and prepare clear, client-friendly reports.
  • Interpret and apply RERA and other statutory requirements to ongoing projects.
  • Draft and review agreements, contracts, and legal notices related to property transactions.
  • Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external legal partners as required.
  • Travel to different cities (if required) to do comprehensive evaluation. (Since lot of cities have different local nuances to consider)

Requirements

  • LL.B. or higher degree in Law from a recognized institution.
  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in real estate law, due diligence, or compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Indian property laws, RERA, and contract law.
  • Excellent research, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple due diligence assignments
