Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years
of relevant experience in a legal / paralegal role
and
accounting / bookkeeping
Bachelors degree in Law / Legal Studies / Commerce / Accounting / Business or equivalent
Paralegal certification / diploma is a plus
Proven experience using
QuickBooks
Strong knowledge of legal procedures, statutes, regulatory frameworks

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Legal / Paralegal Duties

Draft, review, and format legal documents (contracts, agreements, pleadings, affidavits, notices, agreements, legal memos)
Maintain case files, indexes, document databases, ensuring version control and organization
Conduct legal research, gather precedents, citations, reference statutes/regulations
Summarize depositions, contracts, affidavits, correspondence
Assist in due diligence, corporate secretarial work (e.g., maintenance of statutory records, board meetings, filings)
Support litigation / arbitration / dispute processes (document collation, witness coordination, exhibits)
Ensure confidentiality, data security, client privilege norms

Accounting / Bookkeeping Duties

Maintain books of accounts using
QuickBooks
(Online / Desktop)
