Legal Associate (Litigation)

Job Overview:

As a Legal Associate specializing in litigation matters, your role will involve providing comprehensive legal support to the organization. You will work closely with senior attorneys and assist in various legal tasks related to litigation cases.

Responsibilities:

1. Litigation Support:

· Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation.

· Assist in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

· Review case files, gather evidence, and prepare trial materials.

· Attend court hearings, take notes, and assist in the preparation of legal arguments.

· Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide updates on case progress.

· Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

2. Legal Research and Analysis:

· Stay updated on legal developments, precedents, and changes in legislation.

· Conduct in-depth legal research to support case strategies and litigation matters.

· Analyse complex legal issues and provide accurate and timely advice to clients or internal stakeholders.

· Prepare legal summaries, memos, and reports to communicate research findings.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other legal associates and external counsel.

· Communicate effectively with clients, internal stakeholders and external parties.

· Assist in client meetings, interviews and depositions as required.

· Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Law.

· Admission to the Bar or eligibility to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

· Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, laws, and regulations.

· Excellent legal research, writing and analytical skills.

· Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.

· Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environm
