Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Prepare, review and file all property transaction documents including Agreements to Sell/Buy, Sale Deeds, Lease Deeds, Power of Attorney, and MoUs, ensuring accuracy and legal compliances.
  • Conduct title verification and obtain encumbrance certificates for properties, coordinating with legal advisors where necessary
  • Manage know your Customer (KYC) documentation for clients including PAN, Aadhaar, address proof, and bank details.
  • Draft, vet, and maintain standard brokerage agreements and client engagement documents.
  • Ensure all business registrations and licenses (RERA, GST, Municipal Licenses) are updated and compilant with local statues.
  • Maintain detailed transaction records, contracts, correspondence, and commission invoices for audit and tax purposes.
  • Liase with lawyers, banks, and relevant government bodies for registration and compliance activities.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes impacting real estate transactions, brokerage operations, and compliance standards.
  • Advise the team on risk mitigation through appropriate indemnity clauses and documentation best practices.
  • Safeguard client confidentiality and senitive data, adhering to anti-money laundering (AML) and privacy guidlines.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Deep understanding of RERA and local real estate regulatory environment.
  • Working knowledge of Contracts, Companies Act, Stamp Act (as applicable), and taxation laws relevant to property transactions.
  • Proficiency with various real estate documents: sale/lease deeds, POA encumbrance Certificates, client documentation, brokerage contracts.
  • Familiarity with business registration, brokerage licensing (where required), and GST compliance.
  • Awareness of risk, indemnity, dispute resolution and professional insurance for real estate brokers.
  • Exposure to digital documentation, e-signature tools, and basis CRM/office software
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management tools.
  • Analytical ability to interpret legislation, contract terms, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently under tight deadlines.

Qualification

Graduate preferably with law or commerce background, formal legal education preferred.

Experience in handling property documentation or legal support

Excellent organizational, record-keeping, and drafting skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
