Lead Systems Engineer

Allegion is looking for a highly motivated Lead Systems Engineer, capable of working collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. You will be a technical leader and innovation driver on the platforming team. Your primary focus will be the definition and ownership of a product subsystem. This responsibility entails starting with a defined architecture and building out a strategy and requirements for your subsystem and then maintaining ownership for the entire life of that subsystem. You will be conducting system integration activities, including integration of electrical, software, firmware, and mechanical design components. As a part of our platforming team, your secondary focus will be in contributing to the continuous improvement of our competency governances.

What You Will Do:

• Create subsystem strategies and requirements from reference architectures and product roadmaps
• Own the subsystem s success across its entire product lifecycle
• Work with architects, global business, and engineering teams across the company to ensure platform and subsystem goals are met
• Present strategies and execution team results to business stakeholders. Communicate status through reports, presentations, and reviews
• Define subsystem use case, user guide, system, and interface integration documents
• Make trade-offs as necessary to ensure the highest level of subsystem performance and quality when considering cost, manufacturability, and available technologies
• Technically mentoring team members in systems competency and process related activities
• Contribute to platforming s continuous improvement activities

What You Need to Succeed:

• BE or M Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Systems Engineering
• 8 to 12 Years experience in electronic/ electromechanical product design and development
• Solid knowledge on electronic / electromechanical product development, and understands the interfaces between software / firmware / hardware / mechanical systems
• In depth knowledge/ practitioner of Systems Engineering (Requirements, Verification / Validation, Risk Management, Configuration / Change Management, Integration and others).
• Expertise in validation and verification along with compliance Testing (CE/FCC/Safety).
• Must be able to work under a situation of changing requirements. Ability to quickly adapt to new feature requests from Marketing
• Strong engineering project management skills with expertise in product design experience from concept to production.
• Experience of developing or maintaining at least one or more product lines
• Effective written, verbal and presentations skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts enabling teams to be successful.
• Demonstrated experience in technically mentoring team members
