Lead Sourcing - Aluminium Die Casting Commodity

As a Lead Sourcing professional specializing in Aluminium Die Casting commodity, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, purchasing, and vendor development activities for a renowned Global Sourcing & Supply Chain Company. Your responsibilities will include: - Identifying and localizing suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and acting as the technical interface between suppliers and the USA Sourcing team. - Sourcing the right suppliers, conducting techno-commercial negotiations, and onboarding suppliers effectively. - Implementing plans to ensure orders meet specified quality and delivery times while minimizing the total cost of purchases. - Documenting performance, creating action plans, and adhering to timelines for assigned sourcing projects. - Managing requests for information, quotations, proposals, and bidding processes. - Evaluating current and potential suppliers in coordination with Supplier Quality Teams and negotiating with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives. - Collaborating with the Sourcing Manager to ensure a stable supply for all portfolios. - Building and maintaining rapport with supplier personnel and customers at all levels. Qualifications required for this role include: - U.G / P.G in Mechanical Engineering - 8 to 10 years of experience in sourcing and supplier development, preferably in the Aluminium Die Casting industry - Strong quantitative and analytical skills - Good knowledge of Aluminium Commodities, especially High Pressure Die Casting, Gravity Die Casting, Sand Casting, and Extrusion - Experience in the automotive industry is an added advantage - Proficiency in cost estimation, negotiation, and analytical skills - Solid understanding of the Die Casting process and tooling - Strategic sourcing expertise for new product developments within challenging timelines and quality parameters - Ability to interact with cross-functional teams to support project and product intricacies - Proficiency in costing, negotiation, and understanding of basic financial and economic concepts - Fluency in Hindi is a must, with additional languages being advantageous - Willingness to travel as needed, with a preference for candidates with experience in enlarging sourcing platforms across India, especially in South India If you believe you are the right candidate for this Lead Sourcing role, with the required qualifications and skills, please send your profiles to murugesh@vsupportsolutions.in.
