Lead Software Engineer

Job Description

Resposibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services. Own the full software development lifecycle, from concept to production. Ensure software quality through thorough code reviews, testing, and best practices. Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define and refine technical requirements. Contribute to system architecture and play a key role in technology selection. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth. Drive technical excellence and promote best practices across teams. Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance performance and scalability. Guide architectural decisions to ensure long-term maintainability and system scalability. Participate in on-call rotations to maintain platform reliability. Document solutions and maintain internal knowledge bases to support effective knowledge sharing. Who are you? Required Skills and Experience Proven expertise in Java or Scala, with deep knowledge of backend architectures, distributed systems, and scalable infrastructure. Readiness to learn Java / Scala /Python if no experience at this area. Passion for learning and the ability to quickly adapt to new challenges. Strong software design skills with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code . Hands-on experience with unit, integration, performance, and acceptance testing. Strong background in object-oriented and functional programming. Proficiency in HTTP, RESTful APIs, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP). Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Experience with Apache Spark, Amazon Web Services and AWS EMR.
