Lead Software Engineer - C++

Role Overview: You are a highly experienced C++ Dev Lead responsible for producing scalable, dynamic, and user-friendly software solutions for an innovative clinical development product suite. Your contribution will help customers design, model, and simulate complex clinical trials, increasing the probability of success and accelerating time to market. A key aspect of the software products is the development of proprietary engines implementing sophisticated statistical/mathematical algorithms. Key Responsibilities: - Implement statistical/mathematical algorithms in C++ for on-premises or cloud-hosted applications, ensuring high performance and quality. - Collaborate with developers, architects, UX designers, and product owners to ideate software solutions. - Design backend computational modules/services/APIs and maintain design artifacts to ensure testability and other non-functional requirements. - Review and refactor engine code regularly to maintain high performance and code quality. - Conduct automated unit testing, code reviews, and adhere to coding guidelines and practices. - Lead a Scrum project team, guide junior developers, and ensure project delivery on time and within budget. - Monitor project risks proactively, make technical presentations, and stay updated on emerging trends/technologies. Qualifications: - Minimum 10 years of C++ programming experience with strong knowledge of OOAD principles and design patterns. - Proficiency in Applied Mathematics, algorithmic/scientific computing, and strong numerical aptitude. - Experience in developing high-performing applications in Windows, UNIX, and LINUX environments. - Familiarity with Agile frameworks, automated unit testing, and version control tools like BitBucket, Git, SVN. - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent STEM degree.
