Lead Shift Incharge

Summary

Shift In charge will be part of the Construction & Commissioning (C&C) team and responsible to manage daily operations, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure smooth shift transitions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing shift schedules, coordinating with the customer, GE team, and various in-house teams to maintain efficient and effective operations of the Hydro Power plant.
Attaining complete knowledge of the site execution plan, time schedule, scope of supply / work scope, and account structure, status of documentation, EHS plan, site staffing plan, applicable local regulations, restrictions etc.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for coordination with the customer and GEV team for day-to-day activities.
• Plan, manage, and schedule team shifts, including handling leave planning and coverage.
• Supervise and manage shift operations to ensure continuity and compliance with company standards.
• Supporting Employers Operations team to operate the machines smoothly in all the shifts.
• Onsite Technical Support for Trouble shooting detection & rectification of faults in case of any break
• down in the system.
• Support in Restoration of machines in case of tripping, etc.
• Assist Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team in ensuring smooth and continuous operation of all PSP units across shifts, in accordance with operation manuals.
• Coordinate with the in-house engineering and project teams to align operational goals.
• Provide technical assistance in planning and execution of preventive and routine maintenance activities in coordination with end customer.
• Liaise with in-house and THDC maintenance teams for issue resolution and operational support.
• Assist in the restoration of machines in the event of tripping, and jointly prepare tripping analysis reports with Shift operation engineers, to the extent reasonably possible.
• Ensure smooth communication between teams and manage escalations as necessary.
• Maintain shift records, incident reports, and communication logs as required.
• Ensure safety protocols and operational procedures are followed during all shifts.

Qualifications:

• Graduate in engineering / equivalent with 8 to 12 years of experience in Hydro Power plant O &M experience.

Desired Skills :

• Proven experience in operations or shift management in an industrial or Hydro power generation environment (preferred).
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple teams and stakeholders effectively.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance and project coordination is advantage.
