Lead Proposals & Estimation

Role Overview: Essar Constructions India Limited (ECIL) is seeking a qualified and experienced professional in the Tendering & Estimation function at their Mumbai office. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the estimation process for large-scale tenders and projects, ensuring accurate and competitive cost estimates to support the bidding strategy and win projects profitably. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works based on drawings, specifications, and project scope. - Analyze tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and contractual conditions to identify and quantify price risks, uncertainties, and contingencies in the proposal. - Collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, procurement, planning, and construction teams to gather accurate inputs on quantities, pricing, schedule, and resources. - Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations, evaluate offers, and prepare cost comparison sheets and pricing summaries for management reviews. - Ensure timely submission of tenders with all technical and commercial requirements met, support value engineering, and develop alternative proposals to enhance competitiveness. - Maintain and update cost databases, benchmarks, and market price trends, provide post-tender clarifications, support negotiations, and handover to project execution teams.
