Lead Project Engineer

You will be responsible for interpreting contract documents and identifying equipment requirements within the scope of the project. You should have a general understanding of the overall process and be able to develop the I/O list based on contract P&IDs using the provided template. Additionally, you will update P&IDs based on inputs received from the process engineer, Contract Documents, or client requirements to create submittals. When it comes to field instrumentation, you will make selections based on quoted scopes, contract requirements, standardized products, and project budgets. Working with the project/site engineer, you will determine installation requirements, mounting hardware, and protection measures. Your responsibilities will also include generating Field Instrumentation Submittals for review and approval and responding to customer comments. For panel design, you will create hardware drawings based on quoted scopes, contract requirements, standardized products, and project budgets. You will develop hardwired IO lists, control narratives, and bill of materials, coordinating with the drafting group to generate CAD drawings efficiently. Panel Hardware Submittals will be prepared for review and approval by the Engineer and Owner, with responses to comments as needed. In loop drawings, you will design per Contract Document requirements and oversee the drafting group's efforts using AutoCAD-Electrical. Similar processes will be followed for Camera & Security Subsystem Design, Network Design, and other related documents. Your role will involve selecting hardware, generating submittals, and responding to customer feedback accordingly. You will also be involved in creating Control Narrative Submittals, overseeing the development of Test Procedures, and coordinating the creation of As-Installed documentation and O&M Manuals. Understanding water treatment and wastewater treatment processes will be essential, as well as providing support to project team members and incorporating third-party designs when necessary. Familiarity with UL and NEC standards, proficiency in AutoCAD modifications, and knowledge of PLC and HMI/SCADA hardware and software are required for this position. You will provide technical support to Sales and Marketing groups and ensure hardware orders align with project requirements. Excellent communication skills, technical writing abilities, and a relevant Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience are preferred qualifications for this role. The position is office-based, with occasional travel expected for project site visits or customer meetings. Regular communication via telephone and email, along with normal vision and hearing abilities, will be essential. Physical demands include sitting for extended periods and using common office equipment, with no heavy lifting expected.,
