Lead Project Engineer

As a Project Lead Piping Engineering, your role involves guiding, coordinating, monitoring, and controlling multi-discipline engineering activities through respective leads and designers. You will be responsible for communicating project objectives, scope, milestones, contract terms and conditions, and budgets to the project team. Identifying critical execution issues, preparing a look-ahead schedule, planning and implementing engineering activities on projects according to the project execution model under the direction of the Engineering Head are key responsibilities. Additionally, you will act as a primary contact, maintaining good customer relations. You will also prepare project execution plans, project coordination procedures, project quality plans, and manpower projection plans. Establishing a change management system, monitoring and controlling it, preparing project risk analysis, reviewing it periodically, and implementing corrective and preventive actions require strong organizational, planning, and time management skills to achieve results. Key Responsibilities: - Guide, coordinate, monitor, and control multi-discipline engineering activities through respective leads and designers - Communicate project objectives, scope, milestones, contract terms and conditions, and budgets to the project team - Identify critical execution issues and prepare a look-ahead schedule - Plan and implement engineering activities on projects according to the project execution model under the direction of the Engineering Head - Act as a primary contact and maintain good customer relations - Prepare project execution plans, project coordination procedures, project quality plans, and manpower projection plans - Establish a change management system, monitor and control - Prepare project risk analysis, review it periodically, and implement corrective and preventive actions - Utilize strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve results Qualifications: - A Bachelor's or Master's degree with 8-14 years of experience, including a minimum of 8 years in piping/mechanical detailed engineering - Proficient in interface engineering and coordination with customers involving multi-disciplines like process, piping, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and controls - Very good experience in 3D model reviews (30%, 60%, & 90%) involving internal teams & customer - Familiarity with project management tools like Primavera, MS Projects will be an added advantage - Proficiency in software skill sets like AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office is mandatory - Experience in a similar position working for EPC projects in the oil & gas sector, power plants, water treatment plants, refineries & petrochemical plants,
