Lead Project Engineer

As a key member of the Business Unit Industrial Applications at Siemens Energy, you will play a vital role in offering comprehensive digital portfolio solutions in the oil and gas sector and other process industries. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing the complete technical scope for the supply of new packaged rotating equipment for onshore and offshore projects, covering a range of equipment such as gas turbine-generators, gas turbine-compressors, electric motor-driven compressor trains, coolers, scrubbers, anti-surge valves, etc. - Supporting the Project Manager in addressing technical concerns with internal and external clients, and leading global technical project teams consisting of multi-discipline engineers, designers, and suppliers. - Managing the Engineering schedule to ensure the on-time release of equipment specifications, bills of material, and customer documentation. - Leading all technical contract requirements on assigned projects to meet targets and objectives, including certifications and compliance with applicable standards. - Providing engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, from proposal to operation, including detailed design decisions to meet contract requirements. - Conducting a detailed review of contract requirements and specifications and effectively communicating these to the project team. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of experience in design, packaging, or operation of rotating equipment and gas turbines. - Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time. - Ability to lead a small team and provide general direction to others. - Proficiency in Engineering/PLM software such as Teamcenter, NX, E3, COMOS, and/or Jira. - Excellent computer skills including Pivot Tables, VBA, or other programming languages. - Experience with SAP and prior knowledge of Siemens applications, customers, processes, and products.
