Job Description

You will become part of a creative global procurement team responsible for the Strategic Procurement of spare parts to the global Vestas Service Business. The position is located in Chennai India, and you will be reporting to the Head of Service Material Procurement in Vestas.

Responsibilities

In this position you will be Global Purchase Manager in Service Procurement, where you will be responsible for the area of Nacelle, HUB & Towers
You will be leading a team of 10 highly skilled Strategic Purchasers and Specialists
Developing the long-term strategic direction for the Service Nacelle, HUB & Towers commodity
Provide clear leadership, with personal and professional development for your team
Build a close relationship with key suppliers in the commodity and continue to deliver value through long-term supplier account management and partnerships
Build and define the future Service supply base for service within Nacelle, HUB & Towers in close collaboration with key stakeholders
Work closely with the Matrix Regional organization on the Strategy Execution
Reduce complexity both in number of suppliers and part numbers

Qualifications

Bachelors/Masters in Supply Chain Management / Manufacturing / Business Administration/Any Engineering specialization
5+ years of experience with strategic procurement
Experience with handling large yearly procurement budgets (200MEUR)
Advanced IT skills (proficient with Microsoft Office Package, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
We welcome experience within the wind industry
Fluency in English
