Lead Java Developer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for performing general application development activities using Java and Spring Boot on GCP. Your focus will be on maintaining and enhancing high-scale applications from the backend to the UI layer, ensuring operational excellence, security, and scalability. You will apply modern software development practices such as serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code. Additionally, you will triage product or system issues, collaborate with teams for system integration, and document code and processes for easy understanding by other developers. Key Responsibilities: - Perform general application development activities using Java, Spring Boot on GCP - Maintain and enhance high-scale applications focusing on operational excellence, security, and scalability - Apply modern software development practices such as serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code - Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them - Collaborate with teams for system integration with existing internal systems, Data Fabric, and CSA Toolset - Document code and processes for easy understanding by other developers - Actively participate in estimation process, project planning, user story grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - 5+ years of overall IT experience - 4+ years experience working with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices - 2+ years experience with Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, or Azure - 2+ years experience with source code management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, GitHub), CICD, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code - 2+ years experience with software build management tools like Maven or Gradle Additional Details: Cloud Certification is strongly preferred.
