Position Overview: We're seeking an exceptional Lead Engineer to spearhead the development of cutting-edge bank technology platform components for our enterprise SaaS platform. You'll lead a team of 4-6 engineers in building scalable, secure, and AI-powered financial technology solutions that serve small- to medium sized banks and credit unions clients at scale. This role requires a unique blend of technical excellence, leadership acumen, and an obsessive passion for complex distributed systems, AI and agentic technologies. Leadership Responsibilities: 1. Technical Leadership • You will start to onboard, lead and mentor a team of 4-6 engineers across frontend, backend, and platform engineering • Drive technical architecture together with our architecture group, decisions for bank-grade platform components • Champion AI-first development practices and agentic automation across your team • Work closely with the cloud services team to develop the platform with a Design-to-manage focus. • Establish engineering standards, code review processes, and technical best practices • Guide technology selection and evaluate emerging Advanced Data-, Compute and AI/ML technologies for platform integration 2. Team Management • Build and scale high-performing remote engineering team • Conduct technical interviews and participate in hiring decisions • Provide career development guidance and technical mentorship • Foster a culture of innovation, automation, and continuous learning • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with product, cloud, and data/analytics teams 3. Platform Architecture • Design and implement secure, scalable bank technology platform components • Build multi-tenant architecture with bank-grade data isolation and security • Implement just-in-time and batch data processing capabilities • Ensure 99.9%+ uptime with disaster recovery and failover mechanisms 2. AI-Powered Development • Integrate AI agents into development workflows for automated code generation, code quality, governance, test automation, and deployment • Implement agentic systems for automated monitoring, scaling, and incident response • Drive adoption of AI-powered development tools across the engineering organization 3. Enterprise SaaS Excellence • Build platform components that serve millions of transactions with sub-second latency, at the lowest cost infrastructure costs possible • Implement enterprise-grade security, audit trails, and compliance features • Design APIs and integrations for large-scale enterprise client deployments • Optimize platform performance for high-volume, mission-critical banking operations 4. Team Leadership & Development • Lead technical design reviews, development planning and design decision-making processes • Mentor engineers on advanced topics: distributed systems, data intensive applications, AI integration, and enterprise patterns • Drive continuous improvement in development practices and platform reliability • Build remote-first engineering culture with strong collaboration and communication Required Qualifications 1. Leadership & Experience • 8+ years of full-stack development experience with 3+ years in technical leadership/principal roles • Proven track record, leading engineering teams (4-10 engineers) in enterprise environments • Enterprise SaaS experience building and scaling platforms serving 100K+ users • Financial services or banking technology experience • Remote team leadership experience with distributed engineering organizations 2. Technical Expertise • Go (Golang)- REQUIRED - 5+ years with enterprise-grade API development, or a expert level background in Java/Spring based development. • PostgreSQL- Expert level and advanced database design, optimization, scalability (partitioning) and security • Azure Cloud- Enterprise deployment, security, and compliance • AI/ML Integration- Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, and automation platforms 3. AI & Automation Obsession • Demonstrated passion for AI development agents and agentic technologies • Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) • Track record of implementing automation that measurably improves engineering productivity • Understanding of LLM integration, prompt engineering, and AI system design • Vision for how AI can transform software development and platform capabilities 4.
