Lead EPC Mechanical (Static) Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all mechanical engineering aspects

  pertaining to static equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, columns, reactors, filters, etc.) across various EPC projects.
• Ensure the

  technical integrity

  of all static equipment designs, specifications, and installations.
• Guarantee

  compliance with relevant industry codes and standards

  (e.g., ASME, API, TEMA, IS, etc.) and project-specific requirements.
• Oversee the

  timely delivery of all mechanical engineering deliverables

  for static equipment, including design basis, specifications, data sheets, MTOs, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews.
• Collaborate with procurement teams for

  vendor selection and technical clarifications

  related to static equipment.
• Provide

  technical guidance and mentorship

  to junior mechanical engineers within the static equipment discipline.
• Participate in

  inter-disciplinary coordination meetings

  to ensure seamless integration of static equipment with other project components (piping, civil, electrical, instrumentation).
• Conduct or oversee

  technical reviews of vendor proposals and drawings

  to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
• Support site activities during

  construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases

  as required.
• Identify and mitigate

  technical risks

  associated with static equipment design and implementation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in mechanical engineering for EPC projects, with a significant focus on static equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing engineering teams or specific discipline activities.
• In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards applicable to static equipment design and fabrication (e.g., ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, API standards, TEMA).
• Proficiency in static equipment design software and tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
